A consultation for a custom Chapeaux is a special meeting between you and the Chapeaux design team where, together, we collaborate to select the perfect style, materials, and colors for a hat or fascinator to complete your special outfit.
After the consultation, Chapeaux will prepare an estimate based on your selections and request a 50% deposit of the total price. Upon receipt of your deposit, Chapeaux will reserve time and materials to create your custom hat or fascinator.

1.) How do you prepare for a consultation? Upon purchasing your consultation, we will send you an email with all the details. Please know that sending us a picture of both you and your outfit in advance is super helpful!
2.) What is the price of a custom Chapeaux? Our pricing is based on the materials you select and the estimated time to complete your special piece, with a minimum charge of $150. While our most fabulous headpieces range up to $625, a typical custom Chapeaux fascinator price is about $250 to $375.
3.) Right-Time Delivery on all custom Chapeaux! This means your Chapeaux will be ready for shipping or complimentary local pick-up in time for your event.
4.) The consultation shall be scheduled prior to your event but in no case later than 3 months from purchase. If a consultation cannot be timely scheduled or if client fails to appear for scheduled consultation, the consultation fee will be converted to a Chapeaux credit valid for 12 months from purchase.
5.) $50 consultation fee includes a 30-minute in-person consultation in our studio in Baton Rouge LA or a virtual consultation by Zoom.
6.) If you choose to proceed with a custom Chapeaux, the consultation fee will be credited toward your final price. The consultation fee is non-refundable.
